For the past three weeks, I've been working on a freelance writing project for a publishing company that specializes in educational materials. This translates to me writing 100 questions per chapter for the odd numbered chapters in a political science textbook. It's been hard and time consuming, but I'm so thankful that I have a skill that allows me to work from home.
But, this project has kept me so busy that it feels like I'm working full time again. I get done at work around 4, and I have no energy for anything else. The laundry is piling up, the floors need to be vacuumed and mopped, and I sit on the couch watching Criminal Minds and mindlessly scanning Pinterest.
I'm hoping that I'll be able to finish the project this week so that I'll be able to get some work done around the house. I really like to be on top of things, and I look forward to getting back to that.
In the mean time, our weather has been more and more like spring lately. My orchids are convinced that it is, indeed, spring, and have begun to reward me with beautiful blooms. Here are the first of many to come!

For some reason, these last two photos look a lot darker than they did on the desktop computer I edited them on upstairs. Oh well... Back to Criminal Minds!
