The Flu

This year, in addition to the many goodies I received for Christmas, I also received the flu.  It started December 26th and still hasn't ended completely.

Unlike many people, it takes me about a week to get over the flu.  The first three days of my flu experience are like everyone else's (you know - expulsion of bodily fluids through various bodily orifices), but I spend the remaining five days trying to overcome dizzy spells, a complete lack of energy, and with almost no appetite.

Thankfully, I hit day four of the flu on Thursday so Adam and I were able to drive up to my parents' for New Years as planned.

Oh, and did you know that excessive gas can be an after-effect of the flu?  Well, it can be and I've got it.  When I've woken up the last few mornings, my stomach is tight and aching.  My husby and other family members have especially enjoyed the other side effects of excessive gas (lots of burping and farting).  Yep, it's super fun.

So, I haven't done much in the last week.  I did make an infinity scarf for myself that I love, and I've decided to sell the pattern in my Etsy shop.

Tomorrow I'll post some pictures of my sister modeling the scarf, as well as a link to the pattern listing in our shop.
