Ascocentrum pumilum in Bloom

I haven't mentioned this in a while, but I love orchids!  I currently own 28 plants from various genera (my favorite right now are Phalaenopsis species).  So, you can bet that I'll be posting photos of them when I get them to bloom.  It makes me feel so accomplished.

Here's a miniature orchid that bloomed this week.  It's called Ascocentrum pumilum.  To get a mental picture of this little guy's size, imagine that the plant is about 2" tall.  Yep, that's it!  2 inches.  Amazing, isn't it?
