Normally, I prefer the warm summer months. However, this year I am ready for a cool and cozy fall season. I think that's why I'm enjoying today so much.
You see, today it is cool and raining. What a perfect day for crocheting (which you all know I love to do!). So, I curled up on the couch, queued up The Nutcracker on Netflix (I felt like watching something culturally significant), and continued work on an afghan I started last winter.
Here's my corner of the living room:
And here's a closer look at the afghan:
There are two great things about this blanket: 1) I'm making it huge so that when I'm done Adam and I can both cuddle under it together without problems, and 2) I'm making it from leftover yarns I've collected over the years. You wouldn't believe how many white, cream, tan, and brown yarns I have! The only yarn I purchased for this afghan is the dark brown variegated, and I only did that to add a little more dark yarn to the mix.
Enjoy the rainy day!
